Munday's Thought - 3rd September

Well what a busy week!!

Monday – Wednesday was full of catching up from my week off. The team did a great job in looking after the hotel. On Wednesday, I completed our search for a sous chef, so welcome to the team - Norman. Norman brings much needed stability and support to the kitchen who have had a very busy month. In addition to Norman, Ronnie Robson has been promoted to junior sous chef. This is to recognize his efforts since opening.

On Thursday we welcomed Sara Matthews – Williams and friends to the hotel. Sara is the wife of our chairman. Was great to be able to show Sara what Newcastle has to offer. I made my first trip to Sports direct arena on Thursday night to watch the Toon progress to the group stages of the Europa league.

Friday and Saturday I worked in the hotel, the restaurant and bar proving to be very busy at weekends. Well done to George and team at the weekend.

Sunday my friend Darren came up to Newcastle to watch Aston Villa play. We had lunch in the restaurant followed by a trip to the football.

The week ahead is another busy one before I head to Paris for a few days to celebrate my better halves’ birthday.
