Munday's Thought - 30th July

Dear All,

The week the Olympics came to Toon!! 

On Monday, Shezan our HR director visited us to handover as Lesley my HR advisor goes on maternity later this month. I also interviewed a new receptionist for the hotel. 

Later in the week I had lunch with Bill Ward from Volvo who has entered into a partnership with us to widen our exposure in the North East.

My media appearances this week (said with a smile) were an interview on BBC Newcastle and ITV Tyne Tees, both were asking for my opinions on the Olympic impact on hotel bookings in the city. I was positive as we have we have welcomed a whole host of nationalities to Newcastle. The restaurant was extremely busy over the weekend which included guests going to Ladies day at the races. The team really are doing well!

Personally, I was at a wedding on Saturday in Northumberland and Sunday I recovered!!
