Munday's Thought - 24th September

What an amazing weekend, Great North Run guests have left me inspired, so inspired I might just do it next year!!

On Monday we said goodbye to the last of the guests who stayed for the run, lots of limps and blisters reported!

Mark Winter my Front of House manager is on holiday so his new supervisor Sian has done a great job looking after our arrival experience.

We welcomed 20 key account managers from IHG on Thursday to showcase our hotel, they are responsible for selling the hotel throughout Europe. Was great to show them true Geordie hospitality. They left happy and impressed.

The weekend brought some records to our hotel, our busiest weekend so far in Marco’s, our highest achieved average room rate on Saturday night. Well done to all. We have also maintained our place at number 4 on Trip advisor in Newcastle, number 1 in our sights!

I was down south at the weekend seeing my family. My dad has not been too well so important I went to check he was ok, happy to report he is nearly ready for me to take him on at golf again. I spent the weekend catching up with my parents and spending some 1:1 time with Honey.

The week ahead sees me in Newcastle until Wednesday before a long drive to London to represent Sanguine at an IHG Indigo meeting. Xmas bookings are coming in fast now, so if you haven’t booked yet please visit www.hotelindigonewcastle.com for more information.
