Munday's Thought - 13th August

Me again,

Last week went so quick!!

This week was a mixture of meetings and catching up with my team. On Tuesday I hosted my monthly ask the boss lunch where staff get the chance to talk to me personally about any issues they are having in the hotel. This is always a great event which I never miss.

Wednesday we welcomed two senior colleagues from IHG, they wanted to see the newest Hotel Indigo in UK. Also to see our innovative ideas!! They left happy and impressed.

Thursday started with a monthly business review with some of the Sanguine board. We discuss performance and forecast along with strategy to achieve our guest experience and budget targets. On Friday we had a Christmas sales and operations meeting to talk through our plans for this Christmas. Ho, Ho Ho!! Thursday evening I took some of my team out for dinner in Newcastle and maybe a glass of wine………

I worked late on Friday before travelling to the lake district for a long weekend with the wife. A weekend of relaxing and recharging. The weather was great too which made it even better. Was nice to stay in a hotel and know one knowing who I was!

However I could still get my e mails!
